Happy Days Farm is looking for one motivated student to join our team this Summer through the Qalipu First Nation's Youth Summer Employment Program (YSEP)!

POSITION: FARM ASSISTANT
LOCATION: 77 Romain's Rd., Port Au Port East, NL
DURATION: 7 weeks (35 hours/week)
WAGE: $16.35/hour + 4% vacation pay

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
- Be between 15 and 29 years of age
- Be a full-time student during the 2025-2026 academic year
- Be returning to full-time studies in September
- Identify as Indigenous

Priority will be given to registered members of Qalipu First Nation. If no eligible Qalipu members are available, please notify us.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist with daily fa rm operations and gain hands-on experience in vegetable production and farm management.
- Planting, weeding, and harvesting vegetables
- Assisting with greenhouse operations (watering, transplanting, plant care)
- Preparing produce for sale (washing, sorting, packaging)
- Supporting farm market setup and customer service
- General farm maintenance and cleanup

SKILLS & QUALITIES
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in agriculture is considered an asset
